Twilight fans helping Haiti Earthquake Victims

Twilight fans band together to help a noble cause and help the victims of the Haiti Earthquakes.

From The Examiner:

Twilight fans and fans of the series' leading actor Robert Pattinson have been organizing their efforts to support relief for the victims of last night's 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti.

Thinking of Rob, a fansite dedicated to following the career of Robert Pattinson, has been seeking out information as it appears on the social network site Twitter and relaying it to the site's followers. In doing so, ToR has inspired a great many fellow fansites to follow suit, and the site was even noted by the L.A. Times in their recapitulation of Twitterers joining the efforts for Haiti's people.

This site and other fansites across the community are posting links so that fans of the Twilight series and the cast can all join together in their efforts to support the victims of this tragedy. Thinking of Rob's list is available here, and it is a comprehensive run-down of the various ways that you can help.

Says ToR's administrator, "I think the community can make a big impact on the Haiti disaster if we come together. Tragedies such as this one tend to remind us that there are so many people out there who need our help. If the fans in the fandom donate whatever amount they can, even if it's only one dollar it would be simply amazing."

Fans are encouraged to visit ToR's listing for details on how to help.

I follow ToR on twitter and they have been EXTREMELY ACTIVE in coming up with ways to help these people, you can visit ToR here: Thinking of Rob

What other Twi stars are helping out? I happened to see Chaske Spencer post a tweet this morning telling fans to "you can help HAITI in the wake of the earthquake..go to www.yele.org or contribute $5.00 by texting "yele" to 501501" which I believe Wyclef Jean set up the texting donation.

Please help in any way you can, the Red Cross is taking donations I heard, and ToR has a big listings on how to help.
